Terrible service. I have a 2017 xc90. I bought out the lease last year as I didn't feel safe car shopping during the pandemic. So I purchased an extended warranty for $4500 in case any issues arise. The last month I've been having a "power steering failure" alert. The wheel locks up and an alert pops up. Also the start stop service light is on and that gas saving feature has not been working for a couple months. The appointment was nearly two weeks out. I understand they are busy. I usually would not take the time to do a negative review. This is a must. I was interested in one of the XC 60 2022 SUV. I spoke to the General Manager a few times on the phone and went over for a test drive last week. I was very clear which package I wanted. Casey the GM said he did not have my model with the package I wanted to test drive, so he took me out in the most expensive XC 60. Came is for warranty/recall work. Took 2-3X longer than promised. Plan on leaving your car overnight

I went to Santa Monica volvo to purchase/lease my 4th volvo. From day one the sales and management team were incompetent, mishandling the lease return of my current car and how that applied to the sale/lease of my new vehicle. The car purchased ended up in the shop for almost 3 weeks and the management of service and the dealership were non-responsive in taking care of the customer service issues including being clear with how long the car would be in the service department and how to rectify the situation. Friendly service advisors but DO NOT take your car here for service. Absolutely appalled by the lack of know-how & incredibly expensive. Took my car in for maintenance/inspection. The next day, car is making all sorts of weird noises & my check engine light is on. Ended up having to replace my battery (seems very obvious) & an oil valve. The place i took it diagnosed & replaced everything for LESS than the INSPECTION.

Misinformation and deception. Buyer beware. I was told that getting Sirius was as simple as sitting in car and calling Sirius to activate. This makes sense given the antenna and built-in hardware. But my new 2022 XC60 has no software to operate the Sirius radio and at best there is a vague promise of this someday. There is no compass in the rear view mirror and the infotainment system is barely functional. I bought a 2019 Volvo XC 60, with only 9100 miles on it. My wife said it would be a great fathers day gift. After the usual price haggling back and forth we agreed on a price. I was trading in my leased car and was told "I'm 99% sure we can get it for this price". "you might have to write me check for a few hundred buck or I will I will have to write you a check" When it was all said and done it came out to be over $3,000.00.!!! Beware. I had a great sales experience, but as soon as the sale was made, customer service turned terrible. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere. My experience left me with a horrible taste in my mouth about Volvo. To be specific, I had an issue that needed to be resolved and my sales associate had left the dealership. I tried to speak with someone else to solve the issue and no one would return my call. I called every few days for 3 weeks to leave a message. They were always "too busy" to take my call. Review based on my experience with Francisco Aguilar at Volvo Santa Monica. One of the most bizarre interactions I have ever gone through. Long story short, after a long back and forth over the phone and text, I send this guy a LEASE quote from another dealer. His reply "if I can get you something CLOSE to this on my car would you consider it?"
