Unfortunately, these guys are your classic slimy car people. I have not bought a car here, but instead brought my Volvo S70 in for maintenance. They completely try to up sell you. It is incredibly obvious. I chose not to let them do any work, and took my car elsewhere. Only two of the ten things they insisted I do were even something to consider. I will never go there again, nor would I ever buy a Volvo because they are the only game in town

I went in looking for regular maintenance and an oil change on my Volvo Xc-70. When I picked up my car all of a sudden the air conditioning wasn't working at all. Literally moments before I handed the keys over the air conditioning was working flawlessly, perfectly cooling the car in seconds. The regular maintenance took four hours and somehow the AC is totally shot by the end of it. Volvo of Santa Monica are a bunch of cheats and swindlers... They have a D- from the Better Business Bureau... A D-MINUS... Have leased my car for a little over a year... Have replaced tires because of a blowout due to thin tread, they never removed the brackets from my shock absorbers after was delivered to dealer... So had no shocks for 12 months (drove like that for a year until ANOTHER honest Volvo dealership pointed it out because of the blowout on the highway), they wanted me to pay to repair the shocks even after it w... read more

Horrible, horrible, terrible, horrible. Do not ever buy or take your car here for service! Endless levels of disappointment with these people. Two days after I bought my car, it broke down in an intersection. During various service appointments, my bumper was damaged and then repainted a different color from the rest of the car and a huge scratch was gouged out of the console. If the dealership is run the way the service department is, beware. They have a lot full of cars next to residential units and use...the car alarms...to locate the cars they need, letting them go off until they are next to the car. Bad neighbors, go elsewhere.

I leased a car from them for 34 months. I liked it, so I was interested in buying one to own (love the XC60). Over a month of reaching out to their sales team and asking them what selections they had, I realized they didn't really know what their left hand was doing. One sales agent said they would end the last 2 months of my lease since I wanted to purchase a preowned. They kept passing me to different agents and I finally picked a used I wanted to buy. Bait and switch sales practices...who knew that was still a thing..? Best bet is to just go to the dealership and SEE the actual cars. Don't rely on listings and communication with the sales agents alone...i'm learning the 'great' deals are likely, not legitimate.

Dealing with the people here has been a huge disappointment. I came in to lease a XC90, and it seems like Jeff and Stephen here make a living on adding unnecessary costs to the contract. In addition, Jeff indicates that he would take care of the remaining payments on my lease. After correcting numerous errors and making last minute changes to the contract, the payments were left off.
