I had the worst car buying experience of my entire life here. I leased a car and turned it back it for a new lease last June. As of right now the DMV is sending Me bills for the old car (dealer never told them it was taken off the road), I am getting a monthly bill which is now on my credit report for excess wear and tear when I purchased an insurance policy to cover this thru Volvo. We called SM Volvo about 10 days ago because they had the exact SUV we were looking for. I gave the Sales Manager Armin B. a number I was comfortable with and he agreed to it. We drove down from Orange County and the car was all ready to go. Rachel the salesperson was really helpful in getting the paperwork done and explaining some of the features of the car. Really hard time buying the car. 2 months later the pay off for my trade in still didn't get there. Rather car didn't have windshield wiper fluid. Just a nightmare all in. I will NOT be buying a car here again. I should have gone to Mercedes.

DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM VOLVO OF SANTA MONICA !!! I recently bought a Volvo s 60 from Volvo of Santa Monica. I have had 8 Volvos in the past. The reason that I'm writing this review is the sale experience I had there and the service. My salesman, his name is John was the worst. Knew very little about the cars there. I went there with my XC 90 for AC repair. They were not even able to diagnose the problem,they kept my car for one week and charged an arm and a leg for literally nothing.Very unprofessional.

I walked onto the lot this morning with the intention of buying a new car or leasing a new car. I've driven Volvo's my whole life and it's time for a new one. I was planning on buying outright with cash if it worked out that way. The manager came out and explained because of the pandemic I'd have to make an appointment. I said "OK, let's set an appointment for tomorrow." Then he looks me up and down and gives me a dirty look at my Nike track pants/hoodie and says "what car am I interested in?" If i could give negative stars I would. We purchased a fully loaded XC 90 and have had othing but problems. We had a leather issue and the deal;ership refused to fix it. We had to go to a different dealership and work with Volvo corporate customer care. The car had multiple problems and enbded up being in the shop for a combined 8 months in the first two years. This Dealer is no different than any other ordinary run of the mill dealer. All smiles till you walk out the door. I leased a new Volvo in December . I signed up for Auto-pay on Volvo's website. My whole lease is more screwed up than I could have imagined. I have called and e-mailed several times. The answer I keep getting is that it is my fault and I have to fix it. Horrible customer service!! Tony Towns and his manager Lambert are liars and will say anything to make a sale. I bought a used car on 1/19/20 and the key fob was missing the metal key. Both Tony and Lambert agreed and promised to get me the key within a week. After not hearing from them or receiving the key attempted to call them. I called and left messages for Toney on 2/5, 2/6, and 2/7. Finally after calling 3 times on 2/7 Tony calls back and reassures me that his manger Lambert will get me the key within a week.
