Purchased a used car from this dealership. They promised to mail a key to us the following week. Its been 4 weeks and have yet to receive. We have left multiple messages and calls and emails are not returned from the sales and managers. Do not recommend this dealer.
Very poor customer service. I'd give zero stars if it were possible. When I bought my car at Santa Monica Volvo in January of 2018, I purchased an extended warranty that I could cancel for a refund of Any unused portion. As you can imagine, they were more than happy to take my money. They showed their true colors when I traded the car in and requested the pro-rated refund (as stated in the contract). I leased a brand new XC90 and had nothing but praise for the sales team at this dealership. 3 months into my lease my brakes started to squeak. I thought since it was a new car I had to ride it a little longer to break in the brakes and the noise would go away but it didn't and it got worse. It was so bad that the cars driving next to me would look at me like I was crazy for driving with this sound. I have leased my car for one year. Over the year, I have a lot of issues about Volvo and its overall design. I will be glad when this lease is over. Meanwhile, I can tell everyone what is going on with their vehicles. First, the safety features with the sensors...lot of false alarms and the range needs to be adjusted or calibrated. Will never come to this place again. I was 3 year customer. All the reviews abt Ken and the service shop paint a pretty picture bt it is not the case. I took my car in for oil change and brakes. Was told the brake pump was leaking. 2 day job you wld think. Well after the 16th day of Ken saying he was waiting on a "warranty check" Ken gets fired. Nobody call to tell me anything. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! We bought a 2016 XC90 from this place, not realizing how terrible the dealership would be! The vehicle constantly had issues, one mechanical problem after another that Volvo could NEVER fix! Not once did they ever reach out and offer to make it right! It became so bad, that we had no choice but to use the Lemon Law. A few months ago, my wife was ready to shop for a new car lease. After several BMWs (X5s) we decided to try out VOLVO. Boy do we regret it!!!!! Not only her brand new VOLVO XC60 came with all sort of electrical issues requiring us to drop it at the dealership at least once a month since we bought it (Jan 2019) but, to top things off, our car's keys stopped working and the VOLVO Santa Monica dealer just informed us that... they lost the keys to our car!!!.... Wasn't feeling it. Uppity and sales managers were not the most pleasant to deal with, a "take it or leave it" attitude. The managers need sensitivity training on how they deal with both clients and their staff. I wish I could give less than 1 star. I am shocked at the absolute apathy I faced when dealing with a very difficult broken window issue after my car was broken in to. This man just looked at me saying he could do nothing to help me as I stood there crying. Truly truly shocked. I will never get a Volvo again.
