Not only was I upset to get blindsided with a $250 bill and 5 hours timeline to replace a broken sun visor on the drivers side after scheduling an appointment where NONE of this was relayed to me-- but the service at the Toyota of Berkeley Certified Service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. Hello, I'm very dissatisfied on this last time's visit. I brought my car in for a simple Oil & Filter change. I Always take my Car to the dealers, because I am not comfortable having foreign mechanic services , I prefer Toyota (since I bought my Toyota, all services have been done by different Toyota Dealers). I appreciate the technicians for taking the time to diagnose my issue. However, I was disappointed by the lack of communication during the 4 days(which was completely unexpected) my vehicle was there from my service advisor. I had to initiate contact for updates, and it seemed like I wouldn't have received any if I hadn't. Moreover, I had a 15% off coupon for any service, but I was informed that I couldn't apply the discount. The service advisor's demeanor was also unfriendly upon my arrival, which was puzzling. Sold them my truck back in February and was told I'd have a check in 2-5 weeks because there was a lien. Totally fine with me, makes sense. I stopped my automatic payments for the truck after we settled on a price because I didn't want to be shorted a few hundred dollars. Apparently this messed up everything. I called them every two weeks asking what the hold up was and they kept saying to just sit tight there is nothing they can do about it. Service center should be avoided. The front counter team especially should have paid more attention to detail as services I didn't request were provided. Ultimately, I would try the other local service stations before coming here.

Hold on to your wallets at this place, people. The so called sales manager is a professional shyster. Drove all the way from Sac to see a car which I thought was a good deal and when I got there, I was helped by a very nice young lady. After sorting out the deal, she had got the sales manager (Rudy Padilla) to bring down the price $500 bucks for me on the out the door price, and I was very happy. Have I Been "Taken for A Ride"? My family member got their vehicle serviced for a 90K maintenance. Does anyone know if we were overcharged? The cost was devastating -almost $1800. Family member was not warned to be careful dealing with salespersons and agreed to the "preferred service". I hope the public can avoid the same crippling surprise. I am not implying this dealership is unfair or fraudulent. Any advice or answers are welcome. Oof

Poor customer service. I literally bought a brand new Corolla there in 2021, there have been multiple technology issues with it, and that was causing the battery to be drained. I took it in a month ago for the dashboard alerts lighting up, they found nothing wrong with it and just reset the system. I had them do a full service at that same time. They found NOTHING. Yesterday morning my car wouldn't start, it was clearly a drained battery because the horn wouldn't even beep. The AAA tow truck guy even said it's a faulty batte... read more

6 hours to do a simple oil change. Try somewhere else . They don't even tell you how long it takes till after you bring the car in. Horrible
