Surcharge of 3% Waiting for call when car service was completed, had to come in and inquire. At which point, sonja to the time to help someone else and didn't acknowledge the delay.

I found my truck at Toyota of Berkeley, but the purchase experience was one of the worst I've had with any dealership. 1. My appointment was rescheduled with less than an hour's notice. A small inconvenience, but it set the wrong tone for what followed. 2. The truck had visible issues that were not disclosed upfront (before I flew in from San Diego): a windshield chip, a passenger mirror that did not sit flush, and dirty door weather stripping. I've always known the dealership was a rip off. We lost a RAV transponder and I was shocked that a replacement would cost $215 but I told them to order it. When I went to the dealership to have it programmed, I signed a bid for $260. I assumed that was the transponder and programming. The work took less than half an hour and my bill was $475. They charged $260 for the work on top of $215 for the item. i'll

I was visiting Berkeley when we purchased our "gold certified" car, and on the way home my car started to shake. I was told to just go ahead and take it to the location nearest me and get it looked at and they would pay for what needs to be done. Modesto Toyota said I needed the car aligned and four new wheels. Rudy paid for my alignment but told me I had to go back to Berkeley for them to decide whether or not I actually need 4 new wheels. Can't comment on the service center but don't waste your time selling a car to them. I accurately filled out the KBB form to sell my car and shortly after received an enthusiastic call from Toyota of Albany Service Center to bring in my old 2007 Honda Fit with stick shift. An old car with pretty low gas mileage for 17 years (around 124,000), needing new front tires, faded paint with some scratches, plastic arm rest needing to be replaced or glued back on etc, not a looker (all detailed in the form).... I used to go to this place for years, but management changed and most of the workers I liked left. I recently had an appointment to get my 5,000 mile oil change, guy at the front desk tries to persuade me to buy into the maintenance packages. I tell him it's not in my budget and since I look like a broke college student, he stops trying to sell me something. STAY AWAY from this place if you are looking for a honest & trustworthy Toyota service place This place changed my perception of what is trustworthy in car service business. I went to this location to change just one of my car's front lights. You guess what? They changed my front light but gave me back my car with more problems. The break light, ABS light, and more lights are on. I did ask what happened, and these lights were off when I did bring in the car. They want me to pay $260 to turn off those lights now. They try to cheat people this way. I got it. I left for somewhere else.

I have been trying to resolve this privately and in a civil manner with Toyota of Albany for several months now. I financed my 2017 Toyota Prius with this Albany dealership a little over two years ago. It is nearly paid off. They always get the payments. Part of the agreement in the contract was recurring preventative maintenance.
