I hate going to get a car serviced because I always feel like I will get ripped off since I'm a woman and know very little about cars. However, I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of here, though I was pretty paranoid. Noy was the service manager who helped me, guide me through all the services. I just needed to take the car to the shop for a maintenance. She did not make me feel bad or urge me to pick the most expensive maintenance package. She was simply telling me the pros and cons of each package, which was ... read more
I have loved my Toyota Corolla, leased three years ago. The maintenance service people have always been super friendly and efficient. When the lease was up, I decided to buy the car but was worried about financing options since my credit score is still recovering from a financial wipeout five years ago. Enter Angel #1, Nick Fayyer, Direct Sales Associate. Nick was amazingly kind, patient, and encouraging. He also knows everything about Toyotas. And a lot of other interesting subjects! I so appreciated his friendliness and re... read more
I highly recommend Toyota of Berkeley. Their courtesy and professionalism far exceeded my expectations based on previous experience with Toyota dealerships in the past.
This is a review mostly for Noy, our fanTAStic contact to Toyota Of Berkeley's service department over 3 different Toyota vehicles for over a decade. I am not an easy customer as I'm very cost conscious and drive 12+ year old cars. Between our '93 Toyota pickup and the '06 Prius we have have been hit and vandalized multiple times, had manufacturer recalls, and a lot of ongoing service. Noy has been outstanding from start to finish. It took me this long to write a thank you to her as I'm laid up with a back injury bu... read more
I had the best experience with Nick and pretty much everyone at this dealership. I had no appointment, just walked in and asked Nick about some cars. He offered to immediately take me to see them and was so nice and fun and genuine. He showed me every car I wanted to see and kept me updated with texts after I had left. I went to a couple other dealerships but couldn't get one car out of my mind. Nick was so wonderful, I really wanted to give him my business. Ended up buying the car through him, under Kelly blue book value, a... read more
I used to hate buying cars. But the guys at Berkeley Toyota were fantastic--especially Eugene and Simon. They answered all my questions, let me take numerous test drives, and let me take my time to make a decision. This buying experience was completely different from my last one at a different dealer. Thank you for taking the pain out of car buying!
No one likes car dealers, even car dealers don't like car dealers. We all know the horror stories, I've had several. I can vividly remember sitting in the salespersons office waiting for them to "talk" to their boss. Not the case here. I wanted a used Prius, used because the new ones are terrible looking. It's for my business and I had to make sure we present the best image, hence our salespeople drive a white 2012-2015 Prius. They had one, and the owner checked it out, gave his stamp of approval, gave me a very fair... read more
I brought my car in for a 20k mile tuneup, including an oil change. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle did not replace the cap to the engine oil container. I didn't realize this until I had driven over 500 miles, at which point there was almost no oil left because it had shot out all over under the hood. I had to spend more than an hour cleaning it, pay for replacement oil, then cross my fingers and hope nothing serious happened to the engine because of this incredibly sloppy mistake. Other Toyota service centers refused ... read more
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to share this. I am truly sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this caused you. What you described is not acceptable, and we fully acknowledge the mistake. An oil cap not being secured is a preventable error, and I understand how concerning it must have been to discover the issue only after driving a significant distance. I also recognize the time you spent cleaning the engine bay yourself and the stress of not knowing whether long term damage could occur. While I am glad our team was a... read more
I need a car key for 2014 Toyota Corolla no FOB just a straight key it isn't even made out of gold Straight key no alarm $560 with tax probably about $600 I mentioned I bought a car cheaper than that. What a rip off is this inflation? I'm not sure what it is.
Business response:
