The service department at Lakeland Volkswagen is extremely corrupt and dishonest. I brought in my convertible car for an oil change and ended up with $800 bill for services I did not need and a broken convertible top. When we brought the car back to have them fix the top they broke they claimed that it was a coincidence and that it had nothing to do with the maintenance service they did to the convertible roof top. Service seems to always take forever. I've had 2 services there and both times service took all day. I also have an issue with a faulty steering wheel with no timetable of part availability or resolution to the problem. These issues will keep me from ever purchasing a volkswagen again.
I dropped my car off by 9am and when I called 1:45pm my car had not been touched. I let them know I needed it by 3pm and all they did was move from one spot to another.
Aaa came to my home and told me I had a bad battery but I had to get it all done at VW. I called and they said to come that day. 40 minute 30 mile drive later I was there and they accepted my car. 2 hours later I'm finally told my battery tested fine. So I left with a car wash and wasn't charged. I had to call out of work that day to go to VW. Now, 2 days later, I go to leave work and my battery is dead. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. The tire that was replaced with a cheaper tire that cost over $200 was under road hazard warranty and they did not honer the warranty. But this time around another small mail this time only the car has 8000 miles on it. After complaints they agreed a mail was a road hazard but would still have to pay $222. To put it on. They failed to check my air condition after having the car for 5 hrs. When we came to take possession of our car we find out the payment was more than we were quoted very disappointing
Came in for timing work and left with damaged timing components and a marked up crankshaft, was told it needed a engine, European specialist shop verified it did not need a motor and there is damage to the new parts and crankshaft and paying $$$$ out of pocket again to fix same issue.
This place overcharges and holds you car for to long when in service. I traded in and I will never get a vw again.
