Everyone is nice and the amenities in the customer waiting area are great but it seems that the departments do not communicate well. I received a recall for an airbag issue and made the appointment immediately. They gave me the option of a 7:15 on a Monday morning. I arrived slightly early and was let in at 7:30. Okay--not horrible. But then I was told that my issue needed to be checked by someone who would not get in until 8:30. This would have been nice to know so I did not have to wait so long. UPDATED REVIEW 4/18/17 (4 STARS) - In response to my, not so nice review of my recent experience (4/6/17), I received a call from Sal in finance. He has been their since they opened and is close to the owners. He showed genuine concern for my situation and put me in contact with Garret, the sales manager and finally Jay in detail. Buying a car is never a fun experience but Gateway Kia made it less painful. Everything was handled professional and we got the car we waited at a fair price. I would recommend them.
The dealership itself is nice like many others, however I am a HUGE FAN of DANNY G. (Dan Girolamo) . This is my second vehicle from Kia and it is mostly due to him. He sits and talks with you like a regular guy; no BS. I called him on a Friday to let him know I was ready to get another vehicle. I gave him my parameters. I went in Saturday morning, we sat and talked over coffee and everything went perfectly...Up until some guy comes in...there's ALWAYS "a guy". Not even worth remembering his name. Probably the best experience I've had with any car dealership in nearly 30 years of driving and buying vehicles. The salesman, Florel, was great, as was Mr. Del. They even took my old car as a trade, and required no money down. I would recommend Gateway Kia to anyone.
I had the best experience here! Mike was honest and friendly, I never felt pressured into something I couldn't afford or didn't want. I came in, told Mike what I could afford and what car I wanted. Very nice people that work here,The salesman Florel was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention I received a very good deal on my trade in and new vehicle, A 2016 Kia Optima.
