I was visiting Berkeley when we purchased our “gold certified” car, and on the way home my car started to shake. I was told to just go ahead and take it to the location nearest me and get it looked at and they would pay for what needs to be done. Modesto Toyota said I needed the car aligned and four new wheels. Rudy paid for my alignment but told me I had to go back to Berkeley for them to decide whether or not I actually need 4 new wheels. This place is clearly operating in their "automotive excellence" phase. The service to my 2017 Camry was quick ,with none of the overcharging so common these days. I'm grateful that a dealership/service center still operates with great service and integrity. My car will be serviced here from now on.

I always take my car here for repair since they are certified Toyota auto collision but the experience I had was terrible. The 4 days of repair promised became two weeks and they never give you a call for updates and I need to get back to fix some issues(back job) of the repair three times. At first was the bumper is not properly installed and the driver door edge was not painted. I brought my 2009 Prius in to the downtown Berkeley Toyota for a faulty multifunction display (center touch screen) that was going on and off intermittently and affecting the radio, climate control, and back-up camera. Martin on the service team explained to me that new MFDs for my older car aren’t available anymore and clearly explained all my options. I appreciate his knowledge and candor so much. He could have easily checked it in, looked at It, and charged an inspection fee but he didn’t. Best service appointment ever.
