I was visiting Berkeley when we purchased our “gold certified” car, and on the way home my car started to shake. I was told to just go ahead and take it to the location nearest me and get it looked at and they would pay for what needs to be done. Modesto Toyota said I needed the car aligned and four new wheels. Rudy paid for my alignment but told me I had to go back to Berkeley for them to decide whether or not I actually need 4 new wheels. This place is clearly operating in their "automotive excellence" phase. The service to my 2017 Camry was quick ,with none of the overcharging so common these days. I'm grateful that a dealership/service center still operates with great service and integrity. My car will be serviced here from now on.
Avoid this location if you can. The mechanics are creeps. Lock valuables in your glove compartment and don’t leave your metal key. One of their mechanics went through my glove compartment and shifted everything around. I was just there for an oil change. Zero reason to open my glove compartment. I didn’t realize until I saw a card on the passenger side floor. I was confused as to how it could’ve fallen out. I opened my glove compartment to put it back, and everything was in the wrong place. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this shop and to date it still rubs me the wrong way. You can expect the high prices from a dealership, but typically that comes with the utmost trust and reliability. The lack of integrity and trust on multiple occasions at this shop is disturbing. I take my businesss elsewhere.
