I had a great experience with Alexandra today. She was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable. She made sure I understood what services were recommended and why, and even helped me take advantage of some current offers. Great communication and no surprises. Highly recommend!
I was visiting Berkeley when we purchased our “gold certified” car, and on the way home my car started to shake. I was told to just go ahead and take it to the location nearest me and get it looked at and they would pay for what needs to be done. Modesto Toyota said I needed the car aligned and four new wheels. Rudy paid for my alignment but told me I had to go back to Berkeley for them to decide whether or not I actually need 4 new wheels. This place is clearly operating in their "automotive excellence" phase. The service to my 2017 Camry was quick ,with none of the overcharging so common these days. I'm grateful that a dealership/service center still operates with great service and integrity. My car will be serviced here from now on.
The actual service went off smoothly. However while driving home, an undercarriage panel came loose and began to drag on the road; luckily it happened near home (see attached photo). I called my service attendant about a when would be. good time to bring car back , and after some back and forth and leaving voicemails, I went from planning to drop car off the next day to returning car near end of same day. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this shop and to date it still rubs me the wrong way. You can expect the high prices from a dealership, but typically that comes with the utmost trust and reliability. The lack of integrity and trust on multiple occasions at this shop is disturbing. I take my businesss elsewhere.
