HORRIBLE, AWFUL, RUDE, UNHELPFUL, LIERS!!!!. They lied about the condition of the car. don't want to own the fact that they're lying to people. Don't want to fix the problems that the car have. the manager (Mustafa or whatever his name is) is THE WORST!!!! do yourself a favor and don't buy a car here, you'll have a horrible experience and you'll ended up spending more money.

Completely unhelpful and rude. Been here multiple times and each time is a further disappointment. The first time they couldn't even identify that there was a nail in the tire. When I took the car elsewhere, an independent service center said that the nail was blatantly obvious. The Toyota service center didn't even check. Additionally, I had to ask for them to do the recall, which they didn't even mention. Today, I had a flat tire and was towed to the center. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. It felt as if I was ... read more

I'm not impressed by their service. I came in just to get my new key programmed, something I figured would be pretty quick (like 45 mins I was estimating) so I drove there by myself and expected to just wait at the service center until it was done. They didn't tell me ahead of time that it would actually take a couple hours! So trying to be flexible I agreed to let them give me a ride to a nearby shopping center and wait until it was done, which was decent enough service I figured. They told me it would be done by 1pm, it is... read more

Gotta say I'm not impressed with the Albany location after speaking with a young man there this morning who seemed too lackadaisical on the phone. I told him I need to have my car towed this morning because the alternator is out. The guy keeps hesitating, finally says he'll check to see if they have the part and call me back. But then he doesn't even ask for my phone number! I had to get him to write it down. So I call the Berkeley location, where they give me right away the information I need. The guy from the Albany locat... read more

I have been here twice. Absolutely awful both times I have gone in. Last time I came in with a damaged tire and another tire had a slow leak but was fine. They didn't repair either tire and instead told me that I should just continue to drive on it even though there was a screw embedded in one of the tires. They said that they ran out of patches to repair the tire so they just let me go back on my way. I even told the repair person that I was taking my family on a trip and would be driving over Dinner's Pass on steep hills... read more

Business response:

Mirna, I apologize your visit was less than satisfactory. Please know we take it very seriously and are always willing to hear how we can improve our business. There are very close safety regulations we follow when repairing a tire and we do our best to maintain a wide range of parts in stock. I am interested in speaking to you about your visit in detail. Please feel free to contact me by email at jguzman@toyotaofberkeley.com. We appreciate your feedback!

The ASSISTANT MANAGER BEN is so stale! I pulled up as their signs directed and no one greeted me until I made it obvious I had to stare at people lost because didn't know where to go, or who to talk to, or who is who, or who is able to help me. Being the Assistant Manager you'd think he'd be personable right? NOPE. generic and monotone "how are you doing today" AS IF you really care dude. As a customer I am not convinced. NO eye contact, no genuine interest- just script so that how I feel they are going to treat my car.... read more

Took my sons 07 Scion in. It needed a new transmission, to the tune of $4,700. Decided to trade the car in & buy a new 16 Corolla. After many phone calls, voice mails, texts & emails which were not returned, they finally got back to me after 4 days. They reluctantly gave me a price $300 under MSRP. The sales manager, while being nasty on the phone accidentally let it slip that he wasn't going to lose $5,000 to sell me a car. In other words, he was making more money on service & didn't want to sell the car. Which would have b... read more

Wow no wonder the reviews here are horrible. I had to come here because I've been putting off getting my car serviced and this was the only place somewhat nearby that could take me on a Sunday (I live by lake Merritt). They tell me that the shuttle can only go 5 miles. I live 15 minutes away. 15 minutes they could not go to take a customer home. A young female customer who has no idea where she is. I'm glad they treat their customers well. Never come here ever again and I suggest you do the same.
