Terry Town has a decent selection, and ultimately good pricing. The first salesman I spoke with explained the unusually high qouted price was because we were the only one that had it in stock still (2021 Covid) so they we're admittedly gouging our customers because they could. Their service is terrible. They are difficult to get appointments for repair to begin with but when I did schedule one at the beginning of the spring season they failed to work on it for about 6 weeks and after significant complaint by me they finally sent it to Lippert to make one of the repairs on the leveling system. Then they replaced only one of the A/c units leaving us with one that worked and the main one that did not. They claimed it tested fine but this was not the case. Sales person was amazing, But the sales manager is a total buffoon. Bottom line is that we purchased our rig because of the lack of inventory out there, but will never buy from Terrytown again. BTW this is our 3rd rig in 6 years.
I had a horrible time purchasing the rv to begin. it eventually was worked out but took time. then I had all these services that needed to be done they were on notice about before I was to pick up. But no they could not even figure out how to do them. DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN THE IDEA OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM HERE!!! Bought a 2021 Jayco bunkhouse straight from their showroom in Feb. 2021. After getting approved and we had our hearts set on the camper. After a couple days, our salesman Ryan tried to convince us to take a trailer off the lot that had considerable differences. I think they just didn’t want to move things all around to get it out. Sold us a camper that had expired dot tires on it which one exploded on the way home about 15 minutes from dealership on us 131. We contacted them and they never bothered to contacted us back. Our insurance company is currently taking care of it and going after them once all repairs are completed. State Police investigator said they can’t legally sell units like this due to state dealership licensing. Stay away from them they only care about themselves not the customers at all. We just purchased a 70K camper from them to find these metal shavings all over our carpet. Hundreds of these. You cannot 'walk on the carpet right now without shoes, and we were simply told by their service department Tripp Mueller, "The metal shavings you will find for a little longer. We clean our very best but do not always get it all. The more you drive it the more it will shake those other pieces up. Nothing to be concerned about." Update! After speaking with Chloe, service department manager, the three trip process mentioned below is the expected normal-we as customers just don’t understand that! Horrible service department! Phone calls are not returned, no follow through on issues. Incorrect parts ordered and long delays. A service visit requires at least three trips. First to assess the situation, next trip to discover they ordered the wrong parts, and then the third trip (at least 6 months later) to maybe get the repair done if you’re lucky. ... read more
Do NOT buy used (even if it’s supposedly used once). They claimed to fix the problems because it was noted before purchase. Well we bought a 2019 in 2020. They supposedly fixed the problems. They did. They took the inside panels off and refuse to fix it. If we go trade it in for brand new they’ll help you. Buy from General trailer or Good Sams. This was my second mistake from terry town. Run don’t walk.
