In May 2015 I was in a serious car accident. I was driving a Hyundai Accent 2013 which was t-boned by a kid doing nearly 60 miles an hour, he never even tried to brake. It was a significantly traumatic experience and to this day I have issues passing through intersections and driving on highways. Horrible experience with this dealership. I purchased a 2015 Kia Optima last August, and after driving off the lot, I instantly regretted my decision. I had originally gone there interested in a preowned Optima, but after looking at that car, they insisted they could give me a better deal on a new one instead. I took the new car out for a test drive, and upon returning, they immediately began pushing to close the sale, asking me to fill out a form to see what kind of payments they could secure for me. This had to be the worst experience of buying a car in recent years. Not only did the salesman Mike not listen to terms needed as three times we had to tell him the same things but the "manager" did the same thing as to compound the problem. Then as we left without making a deal with these people we open our car door to have cig ashes all over the front seat. WE DON'T SMOKE. The person who appraised the car evidently does. went knowing I wanted to lease a Kia Soul ! with whole shabang package. Original salesman, Dan was very good. He did a great job showing me the vehicle and seemed real enthusiastic about the sales pitch. spoke about the patents they got, own steel mill so extra steel for safety, demonstrated all the cool stuff on the entertainment features. I told them from the beginning i was not buying that day, and needed my wife to join me on another day as both of us would use the car. STAY AWAY! Epitome of sleazy car salesman all around from the actual salesman to the managers and the "finance people" (who really just tell you how great of a deal you got and try to sell you additional products). Purchased a brand new Kia Sorento, drove it home on a Saturday with 50+ miles on it, would not start on Sunday! Called my sales rep and he said it was "no longer a sales issue, but a service issue." I will never come here again for service. We made our appointment for 8 in the morning and were told it would be one hour to one and a half hours for an estimate. It has been three and a half hours waiting for just an estimate and still counting. No update from a member of staff, nothing. I didn't know anybody had the nerve to give customer service this poor.

STAY AWAY! Have purchased numerous cars for our business before, this was my first dealing with Gateway, and will absolutely be the last. And if we thought the purchase was poor, service since has been even worse. Went there after hearing a radio advertisement, negotiated a price. TWICE the manager attempted to bait and switch, bring paperwork that specified less equipment than was negotiated. You don't want to buy a car here! Unscrupulous, unethical sales. Pressure tactics used to sell people high mileage cars at over inflated prices. They really think they are doing you the favor.

Very disappointed in this dealership. We had $400+ worth of front end repairs, a $110! Alignment, and an oil change done and they tacked on a $25 charge for "shop supplies"!! When questioned about it the guy was unsure and I said " you mean for rags and and things you use around the shop?" And he said "yeah, every body does that". Neither my husband nor I ever experienced this type of charge in all our years of having cars worked on. This $25 surcharge is totally ridiculous and should be disclosed when they give an est... read more
