Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience while trying to get a service done with my car. I arrived for my appointment and checked in my car. I verified all my information and saw all the information about my car being recorded. I was told that my car would be ready by 4pm. I never heard from anyone so I decided to call at 4:30. I bought a used car at the Albany location and would not recommend this place at all. They're very unorganized. Once you start the process of buying the car, all service drops to 0. It's been more than 2 weeks and I'm still trying to simply get them to give me copies of all of the documents that I signed because I think they made a mistake in the DMV registration. I have been getting service here for over a decade. It would be so nice to come into the service check in area and be greeted warmly by my assigned service employee, Ray. But time after time, this man seems to go in the opposite direction -- or joke around with his coworkers -- when I drive in and get out of my car. I can't believe this is only true for me. Some times, I need to get repairs or parts from the dealer, which is why I return. There is definite room for improvement here.
We made an appointment to test drive a used vehicle at Toyota of Berkeley. When we showed up at the dealership on Shattuck Ave (the address prominently displayed on the website) we were told the used car lot is over in Albany. So the person who made the appointment never bothered to confirm the address. But that was only the beginning. Really awful experience at this dealer. I wanted to buy a 2020 Toyota Prius Prime, and when I called to inquire if they have one and the price. The guy who answered the call named Doug gave me a quote for the car. I tried to confirm again and again and he confirmed the price he gave me was correct. I'm not the type to leave a bad review, but this experience still have me shaken up. Summary of what's below, I was neglected for 4+ hours even though I had an appt for an oil change. I had to be the one to ask about the status of my car rather than the service rep giving me the update. NEVER AGAIN will I come into this location even if they were giving anything for free. Worst service I've ever experienced in a dealership... walked in interested in purchasing the new Supra, and encountered not one but two very rude sales reps that disregarded my interest in buying the vehicle. Toyota has always offered me great service over the years and was honestly taken back by this branches lack of customer service. Ended up going to One Toyota of Oakland and have ordered my 2020 Supra:) Go to any dealership but Toyota of Berkeley.

They sold me a 2016 Prius C. When I got home I realized that the car was missing the headrests for the back seat. I should've noticed it before taking delivery but didn't. I made a couple of calls and got through to their sales manager Rudy. He was really nice and assured me that they would replace them, and would call me back in a week or so once the headrests arrived. Not a peep since then. No call arrived.
