Had the worst ever business interaction with Newark Toyota World today. After seeing a car online, I called to see if it was available. Was told several times over a few days that it was a newly traded in car and in service. Finally today when I called at 1:00 I was told the car was out and ready for sale. The woman I spoke to said she would have a salesperson get in touch with me. The salesperson got in touch with me at 3:00. 2 hours for an oil change and then they don't honor coupons that they mail to you. They suck.

Please do yourself a favor and do not shop here under any circumstances. They act like they are doing you a huge favor selling you a vehicle. They lie and mislead you about interest rates and prices. When it's finally time to sign, they make you make split second decisions, then don't tell you that the interest rate goes up. Meanwhile, whilst misleading you, they continue to act like they're doing you a huge favor. Do YOURSELF a huge favor and keep driving past Newark Toyota World.

Extremely disappointing buying experience today. I went in with my brother-in-law and and looked at some cars. A few days later my brother-in-law called the salesman and made a deal. Today I went in alone without a man by my side and was told the deal was not happening and was not legitimate and that Toyota would never offer a deal like that. The salesman blatantly lied to me. I absolutely do not recommend Toyota World. We purchased a used GMC Terrain from them in 2018 and have had non stop issues. In the immediate weeks prior to buying the vehicle we had a rental as we had issues immediately after purchasing it. I told them I wanted to take it back and they mentioned an Altima. I have an SUV for a reason and do not want a small vehicle. I decided to keep it and beyond regret it. I have put thousands upon thousands of dollars of repairs into it. been to their service center several times for oil/transmission fluid change to remove the lock lug nuts bulb replacement there are a few sales reps or techs that raise the price too much. like chuck, who tried to charge me $40 for lug nuts drive belt online for a toyota prius is about $12... guy named brian was going to charge me $200 for full service replacement so i asked about the cost for the belt alone guy named chris was going said $60 ... the belt online is $12... i understand that those guys are probably ear... read more

GO BUY A USED CAR FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. I think these people never check and fix problems of their used cars before they put used vehicles on the lot for sale. I bought a car with 3 months or 3000 mile coverage. I paid over $10K for a used car and a second day I had a check engine light on! Also, the rearview camera was broke too. I didn't even realize there was a rearview camera, but hey, if there is a camera, then it should be in working condition before selling it to a customer.
