This is a follow up review to my initial review 2 months ago. Less than 60 days after the purchase of the vehicle the dashboard lit up. After speaking with the dealership I brought the vehicle in to the service department. I was informed that a spark plug was cracked causing the engine to misfire, I was charged $180 for the diagnostic, $71 for an oil change, and $77 for coolant. The dealership add on options without any consent is unethical practice. The ceramic coating is a joke. Spray on product. Not what a professional detailing company does. The price tag for this is ridiculous. Won’t do business with them again.

The service department at Newark Toyota was the worst. Yesterday, I completed my service here. I am undergoing Toyota care service with a valid date and the vehicle has just reached the mileage threshold. In spite of this, they did not accept it. They charged me more money and did not provide complete information about what recommendations have to be made. The person Louis was the worst. So after spending $1,100 on my 2007 Prius 120k service maintenance (including coolant flushes)...had to bring it back a couple of days later because code pops up indicating a coolant sensor issue, they "fixed" the problem (initially wanting another $788 for said fix until I pointed out they had done a multipoint inspection and coolant flush and suddenly after a brief conversation with a Manager I get informed the fix will be free for me) All good right? ...Except a couple of days later SAME code pops up.
