I will never be a return customer to Melton CDJR. My son bought his first vehicle from them 3 weeks ago. The first week had the car it had a white smoke cloud come from the exhaust. We checked the coolant level and was at least an inch below the minimum fill line. After seeing that, we checked the other fluids and there was zero visible brake fluid in the reservoir. MELTON IS A Dishonest dealership. I agreed their asking price and they confirmed no dealer fees or charges other than dealer doc of $489. Before we agreed I clearly said I was paying cash and no financing. They took a $1,000 deposit and I’d pay the balance the next week. Total was $35,500. Plus docs. Communication on their part for a gorilla glass warranty caused them to refuse 2024 Wrangler
The people were absolutely wonderful! Great atmosphere and friendly faces. I requested an oil change and tire rotation. The service guy only did the oil.change. I noticed the invoice only had the oil change listed so I asked about the tire rotation. They put it back in the service lane and rotated the tires. However, they didn't balance the tires. The only thing that would have made my experience better would have been enough fuel to have made it to the gas station on something more than fumes. Maybe I didn’t spend enough money to warrant that but it would’ve been nice.
Service was good, but slower than normal. Intake was terrible. Didn't advise when parts were in, Didn't respond to calls, & didn't give status updates of repairs.
The part was back ordered it was nearly 30 days to have my brand new vehicle back
Jan 20 asked for appointment with loaner. Feb 3 will be 2 weeks Heard nothing
I bought my jeep from Melton. They told me that I had a 36,000/mile or 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. My jeep has 26,000 miles on it and won’t be 3 years old until mid march. They made me pay for a headlight to be replaced. It wasn’t expensive, but the 36,000 mile or 3 year warranty that I was promised was not honored. They said headlights weren’t included. Then don’t use the words bumper to bumper!
