I AM LIVID!!! Some guy almost ran us off the road in Berlin with this boat trailer in tow Then proceeded to follow us to our turnoff in Dagsboro!!! More than likely he was the owner of SHORT'S MARINE IN MILLSBORO, DE!!! I've also been calling and just getting a busy signal!!! I'm pissed my kids were in the car too He's lucky I had somewhere to go because I sure would've followed him to wherever it is he was going!!!!
If I could get negative stars, I would. There is no reason that my jet ski should have to (now) be serviced for the third time in under two months for the same issue. That they liked to describe as a loose wire. If it was that simple of a fix it wouldn't take them three weeks to "fix it." Charge out the ass and then return it to me saying it's fixed only for me to get 10 feet off of the dock before it dies AGAIN. was an employee I put a yelp review in a few months ago about sexual harassment in the workplace as I was an employee during the sale of shorts to price auto group. well look at that it's been months and no response or remedies. I will now be going to governor Meyers office and exploring my rights to litigation.
If I could give it a zero I would. We have bought a boat and 2 wave runners from them and have used them for service and storage for the past 5 years. This is the last year. Every year it's a different problem. This year they told us in the fall we needed a new thermostat we told them to put it in, I called to get the boat and they couldn't schedule it for a month out. I purchased my pontoon from Shorts 4 years ago. Since then I've stored my boat there the past 3 years for winterization. I call them in March to get my boat ready for the season and they give me some run around year after year on why they cant get it in by Memorial Day weekend. Not only is there customer service TERRIBLE but they rip you off on labor and services. They can never provide an estimate on any services and never give you an estimation on when they can get it in the water or ready for pick up. If your reading this... read more
This is our third year taking our boat to shorts for winter storage, shrink wrap abs spring start. First of all the price went up $250 without letting us know ahead of time. I know everything goes up and I still would have paid it but it was just a shock. Then when we got our pontoon boat it was filthy. Like they took the wrap off 2 -3 months ago and let it sit under a tree. There was about an inch of polon covering everything. Service sept is horrible. Store boat there yearly indoors. Scheduled service, bottom paint and detailed for pickup April 15th. Almost a month late and cant even get honest answer when it will be ready. the worst.
Run from this place as fast as you can! One lie after another. When I went to OC Maryland boat show they took a deposit from me on a jet ski that was 1 of 2 back at their showroom, Tuesday comes I get a call from the absolutely rudest women telling me that the price is 800$ more , l talk to the sales manager only to discover the ski might be "in" by May .. Horrible and pitiful. Called for parts and was told we have it in stock and gave me a price. 30 minutes later I show up for the parts and $250 in hand and was told by the same guy "Oh no that is a special order part and is going to be $482.00" WOW pretty bad for a company that deals and sells this brand. I won't specify the brand and tarnish their name because of Shorts but I do recommend going elsewhere. 0 stars from me but I had to choose one in order to post.
