I'm shopping for a used SUV and test drove a 2008 Toyota RAV4 at Gateway Kia the other day. Pretty good condition and low miles, so I was encouraged. But after reading the Carfax and seeing that the vehicle was on the lot for a long time, I decided to take it to a mechanic for a quick inspection before making the purchase. Went to the official KIA website and requested a quote from Gateway Kia of Quakertown. They refused to give a quote via email. Wasted my time with emails back and forth.
PLEASE READ THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I purchased a 2019 KIA SPORTAGE had to bring back 1st week due to shake in steering wheel. Was told it was i was feeling the road. Had to bring car back several times still not fixed. All you are to this dealership is a person that purchased a car. They have a form on their web page for questions, but they refuse to answer any. Refused to give me any information unless I came on the lot. They. would not even give me the sticker price of a car, which others advertise online! Said I would go elsewhere without prior info on price, and Alaina's response was "Have a nice day". They evidently don't want to sell cars--except on their terms. Unhelpful to potential customers. Shop elsewhere.
I am not going to get into a long story about their service, it just sucks. They are expensive on the things that are not covered under warranty. My car is never fixed the first time always have to bring it back 2 or 3 times. There were times that they would tell me whats wrong with my car, and it just didn't sound right to me, I take my car to Pep Boys and they tell me Kia is wrong. Pep Boys fixes the problem. Came in to wait for recall service which was supposed to take 1.5 hours. Immediately tried to upsell me on service my car "needs," even though I just had an inspection at my home service station. When my car was done, it actually took 3 hours!!! There went my plans for the day! AVOID THIS KIA LOCATION! I have moved recently and was looking for a new dealership so myself and my husband could update our vehicles. Needless to say, this will not be that dealership!
Horrible experience!!! They don't even deserve the one star. I test drove new Sportage at this dealer vs. another dealer due to email advertising great end of month sale - either match your down payment up to $6000. or up to $6000 over book value for trade in. Completely bogus. Mike the sales manager refused to honor advertised special. On July 21 I traded in my 2012 Kia Forte w/150K miles for a 2012 Kia Forte w/61K miles thinking it a good idea. On Monday July 23 returned with my Forte title. Upon leaving the engine light came on. Returned to Gateway. Also, radio sound went off when headlights turned on. Also they only gave me 1/2 tank of gas (promised full tank). They checked into problems. Waited over an hour for a ten minute service job. We had an appointment. Way does it take an hour to put a bug guard on? Plus the bug guard fell off a week after buying the car because it was not put on correctly. Why do we make appointments if they will not do the job when it is brought in? Save your money. Go somewhere else
