They don’t stand behind their word or product just like all the other dealerships these days. They buy junk cars from auctions and put them right on the lot before looking at them or fixing.

Business response:

Mr Sitterly, there are strict guidelines we have to follow based on New York State lemon law. We go above and beyond the minimum standards. We also offer certified vehicles and opportunity to purchase extended service contracts to cover beyond the manufacturer warranty. If you have a particular issue that you do not feel was handled or explained properly, you can contact the dealership and speak to management to discuss further

fair dealing is a load of crap. piece of Crap Whilhelm.

Business response:

Hello Mike, I looked into all our records and didn't see that you were in the dealership recently, for sales or service. If you could please call the general manager, Carolyn, to discuss at 518-792-2196 we would greatly appreciate it.

Because they don't care about what happens after the sale as I bought a car just three months ago and I have had problems with it and the service department didn't acknowledge what I said was wrong and they came up with a lame excuse and I had to take it back and get the real problem that I had told them about fixed correctly. Then I tell them that I believe that the rear bearings are going and they gave me a look like I didn't know what I was talking about. Come to find out, it was exactly what I said was wrong but know the... read more

Business response:

Hello Marsha, we are very disappointed to hear you are unhappy with your experience. After doing some research we discovered… -You declined service contract coverage that was offered to you -You have driven over 17,000 miles in 3 months which is 5x more than the average driver -Within the Used Passenger Vehicle Warranty terms only certain components are covered and states, “If the vehicle has 36,000 miles or less, this warranty is for 90 days or 4,000 miles whichever comes first.” -As goodwill gesture, we covered components... read more

I recently purchased a used car from them and In negotiations with Curt who is in appraisals and sales, we agreed on everything included and I would just need to spend $50 on the title after the fact(which is understandable) Now I receive a bill for $161.50? For plates and registration as well as the title when We agreed the registration would be included. In the first week I had to bring my car back for a broken seat heater and screeching in the brakes. Now a bill where I’m being charged for an extra $111.50? If I didn’t pu... read more

I have to say, I normally LOVE whitemans...my first new car I ever bought was from them, my husbands current car is through them...but due to our most recent dealings with the used car side, I am afraid I will never shop there again. My husband was shown a vehicle that he knew I would love, called me to come test drive it, which I did, and loved...only to be told it was already promised to someone else. And the next offer we received was that I could test drive a different vehicle, which was also in the process of being so... read more

My cars were broken into and they took the extra keys to both vehicles! I received no help from whiteman’s to protect my vehicles from getting stolen! How is this helping customers!

Horrible time in your service department today. Brought truck in for recall of snowplow shorting out radio under heavy load. Came out with some ghetto Hotwire of plow solenoid to positive battery terminal. Wish I could post a picture. It’s laughable! Now I’m told to remove it from truck I have to sign a waiver of warranty. I’m going to go to another local dealership and see if this is the” Chevy engineer “ fix for the problem. If it is, Chevy is in trouble!
